1980年 部数は少なそうです。
This book brings together the information currently available on the Specimen and Cancelled overprints and underprints found on both the adhesive postage, telegraph and revenue stamps and also on the stamped stationery. Divided into two parts, the first written by Marcus Samuel covers the adhesive stamps and sets out the reasons for the occurrence of the different overprint types known. A very considerable amount of newly published information is included and details of the composition of various 'finds' of Specimen material are given as well as illustrations of many of the Post Office Circulars sent out to inform Postmasters of impending changes in denomination or design etc. Part two written by Alan Huggins describes the corresponding stamped stationery and again much new information has been incorporated, many items being illustrated for the first time. This book can be recommended with confidence to students of this area of philately which has a rapidly growing following and will remain a standard work of reference for the forseeable future. It has been published by GB Philatelic Publications Ltd., for the Great Britain Philatelic Society which exists to promote the study of the stamps and postal history of this country. If you collect GB and are not already a member and would like to know more then write to the Honorary Secretary, Richard C. A. Payne Anso Corner Farm, Hempstead, Saffron Walden, Essex CG10 2NU who will be pleased to send you details of the benefits of Society membership which include the GB Journal, Newsletter, Auctions, Library, Study Groups, Consultancy Service etc, as well as the opportunity to see fine displays and meet or correspond with leading collectors of all branches of Great Britain philately. Don't wait ? write now!
